Rambling on: There was a time

There was a time

There was a time that the adreline rush of getting to know new people on the net was the ultimate high. They say that time is a healer but I say it is a stark reminder of the emptiness of being, a mirror to the senseless existance. So you rationalize this emptiness as it looks you in the eye and the urge of making friends on the net or keeping up with the existing ones but cannot help but be overwhelmed by the worries of earning a livelihood. Sort of like the Pakistani poet, Faiz, who mourned to have lived a life between work and love and at the end unable to do justice to either.

So, why bother and log these feelings? Over the weekend, I was surfing the net and needed some information on something as mundane as rush-hour traffic in Karachi. A search on google took me to a blogger whose anecdotes, his interests, his penchant for music gave such a refreshing insight that I dedicate the first entry to him & have a log of my own. So, my first log is dedicted to you, Jalal.
