the voice
boarding the plane and settling in, the PIA steward with his oligatory beard, pan-stained teeth and sweaty armpits welcomes me
if you have stayed away from home for some time, for the strangest reason which i could not comprehend, his face gives me a sense of reassurance
deep down thre is a realization of the level to which PIA hiring (or firing) policy has stooped
the steward gives me a pakistani newspaper a sight for my sore eyes
i read that the ghazal maestro pervez mehdi had passed away. sad to read this & though i had not followed up on his career there was one album that i loved
maybe a blog on pervez mehdi album in the coming days

Eeeww ! You paint such a lovely picture, no wonder I never want to travel PIA - I can almost see the arm stretching over to deliver a meal tray and I can almost smell the BO :)
Cmon now, its not THAT bad :) Maybe you caught an imposter or something.... but then i don't travel on pia that much and you travel A LOT, so i don't want it to be my word against yours :)
walter & ZAG it is not that bad - i am exagerating..all i know is that getting my hands on a pakistani newspaper after a month is extremely satisfying
