its gonna be bright bright sun shiny day
i reach home and the elder one is in the drive way....flash back to the time when he was much younger and as the car would get closer to him, he would smile at me and the look of excitement on his face...nothing can describe the feeling for me. he has the same eyes....they have only gotten bigger and the feeling has only grown
being a parent is an extremely difficult thing and the respect for your parents grows when you experience this feeling first hand...
but today there is a reason why he wanted to hi say to me when i get out of the car, he wants to make sure we were ok after yesterdays thrashing that i gave him for doing his homework incorrectly
.....that is very sweet of him and he did not stop at that....straight away he gave me a big hug and he got the reassurance that he was seeking from me....how could things not be ok between us......

That was very sweet of your kid. But as you said its very natural and one of the beauties of nature itself how we keep going back to the ones we love and seek their tender protection. I am sure and hope you're gonna be a very proud and happy father. Wish you could spend more time with your family and get rid of your endless work routines, yeh kaam to khatem hee nahi hotey kam bakhet :(
thanks ejaz, u r right about work "kuch ishq kya kuch kaam kiya.....phir dono ko adhoraa chor diya" is pretty much the best description of it or what john lennon said that life is the time you spend busy making plans.
nice to have you back....regards Naveed
ah, that was very sweet. No, not that "kuch kaam kiya" or John Lennon's beautiful words, which were of course nice but I am referring to, "nice to have you back". Yes, it's very nice to have things back :P sorry for interplaying you know what I mean, dont you ;)
That was really touchy post indeed including few past ones where you talk of "chain" (sakoon/serenity) and the loss of it... hey I hope things're gonna be great at your end. Ppl who are so touched by such great music shouldn't feel deserted and I know Allah won't leave them deserted either :)
btw, do you take photographs? Would be cool to have photolog from you as well. No, I am already at the same place more or less where you reside but I just think, it would be quite a feast to see Karachi from your eyes. dont ye' think?
ejaz, a photolog seems like an excellent idea...let me check the settings on my camera cuz the default is set to tiff format which takes like 2mb+ and i do not want to clog up the blog...will experiment with lower resolution or try to save existing ones to smaller size and will start with a few pics...i love photography...and this would be a nice change...thanks Naveed
