parting is such sweet sorrow
am packing up and moving to another office this weekend.......having spent less than two years in this office this place has a special place in my heart.....seeing ayesha alam and other pretty things occasionally in the lift like aunties on fire
cartons ready to be moved to the new office with a look of sadness all around thanks to me the big mouth who had to pick a fight with the landlord, the episode very brief actually..... i gave him the finger and a 2 month notice confirming that i would rather spit on his office than see his sorry ass for the another year the illmannered piece of shit that he is....all i asked him was that the chairs that he had given us needed repair or replacement and he assumed that he would get away by telling me that i did not know how to use them making me lose my cool like i have never done before....
this office has been good for me and my colleagues and we had loads of fun.....me....a central character that enacted brief skits of our favourite customers that even had me in split of laughter the best performances having been saved to an audio library for posterity
why is that one feels so hard to part with things and then not even look back at all....moving from the US was painful but the day i landed in karachi it was like landing on another planet hence always feeling that bridges and ships have been burnt......then moving from one job to the next eight years yes eight years what in the f'ing world was i thinking...then another office move two years ago and now this...and another move written in the stars next month....
so aptly put by the poet that sab thaat para reh javay gaaa

The wait is over, our favorite blogger returns to us, having fought off the clutches of hot aunties, but why is he singing "Love in an elevator"? (Aerosmith, anyone)?
But hey, touch me..., I know the poem thing , it goes something, something banjaara- right?
Impressed? you better be:)
yes i am impressed but you had to know this ... it was part of curiculum at some stage... actually i enjoy the language used in this....looking for a link to see if this is available on line...must we really google everything...well that would be a resounding yes...:)
No, I did not have to know this - was never part of curriculum - totally extra for me :)
You google - not me ; we are 1-1 in the google resistance war and I want to win :)
change is always good for you... or so i used to think until some time ago.
Who's Ayesha Alam? Is she like that Alam lady who's some big shot in the South Asia Free Media Assn? Coz there was one lady called Alam who was in Colombo for a SAFMA meeting and she was a bit more than just a 'pretty thing' :)
ayesha alam is a popular dj in karachi's most popular fm radio 89 and has a morning show that is pretty ok, she is also the ex-wife of brian, the ex-bass-player for junoon, a pakistani band whose talent is relative to who you speak to....for those familiar with pakistan electronic media being liberated late 80's, ayesha and another PYT hosted the Music Channel Charts which gave local pop scene a big shot in the arm...i can not say whether she is or not associated with SAFMA
Check this out - there is a whole series of these awesomely bad songs now - many of your favs made it

Chage is quite OK, providing it comes with as much tea and coffee as you can take! along with plenty of chocolate! .... come to think of it, perhaps variety is indeed the spice of life, and perhaps it is variety and extreme talent which inspires the rest of us to bigger and better things, so you can imagine my disappointment when, after reading your amazing blogs I was driven to write one too and the webring wouldn't accept me!!! am off to sulk now!!!
Peace.
